Industrial units allowed to work in Punjab with limited staff and precautions

Despite the lockdown, the Punjab Home Department relaxed section 144 and allowed 8 industrial units to operate.

According to the notification of the Home Department Punjab the eight industrial units which have been allowed to work in section 144 are allowed to work in textile, sports, surgical and medical device making units as well as auto parts, pharmaceutical, leather, fruits and vegetable and Meat units are included.

The notification states that if these companies do not take precautionary measures to prevent the Corona virus, they will be prevented from working again.

It may be recalled that after the emergence of 60 more new cases of corona in Punjab, the total number of patients in the province has increased to 1072.
